On
July 31st, 2009, 64 golfers welcomed the arrival of summer at the 13th annual
WATA Scholarship Golf Outing. Foxfire golf club in Waupaca provided a fun,
challenging course that tested the skills of better golfers while playing
fairly to those of lesser abilities. The outing was a foursome scramble and
played host to many WATA members and friends of the WATA. All proceeds from the
annual golf outing are earmarked for the WATA Scholarship Fund.
The
scramble was divided into Championship and Co-Ed teams. Placing first in the
Championship flight with a score of 13 under par was the team of Larry
Lemberger (Lifetec Inc), Charlie Lemberger, Steve Coenen and JohnMcCulley. The
Co-Ed flight title was claimed by the team of Heidi Gutschow, Jeff Gutschow,
Lori Neilitz and Don Huggins. Congratulations to this years winning groups!
Any
event requires an energetic membership and the generous support of sponsors and
